Scott M. Rosso is an experienced litigator with years of experience in First Party Practice. Prior to joining Ged Lawyers, Mr. Rosso was a Partner for one of Florida’s largest and most prestigious insurance defense firms in the State of Florida. While defending insurance companies, his practice specialized in all aspects of insurance defense with a primary focus in home insurance losses, commercial property losses, premises liability and automobile negligence. After the most recent hurricanes that hit Florida, Mr. Rosso was brought over to lead the First Party Property department within Ged Lawyers, LLP. Scott has also been a featured legal lecturer for the benefit of multiple Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies throughout the nation. Early in Mr. Rosso’s legal career, he was recognized as a “Rising Star” by the Florida Lawyers Magazine. Since then, Mr. Rosso has received the prestigious recognition of “Top Lawyer” by the South Florida Legal Guide.
Mr. Rosso graduated from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. Upon graduation, Mr. Rosso practiced as an Assistant State Attorney in Broward County, Florida where he tried numerous cases. Between his tenure at the State Attorney’s office and defending insurance carriers, Mr. Rosso has tried over 50 jury trials and 100’s of non-jury trials. Mr. Rosso now works to hold insurance carriers accountable for delaying claims, inexplicably denying claims, and making payments for less than what repairs are actually worth.
